Coffee with former warden Larry Chandler

I was fortunate to have coffee with Larry Chandler this morning and talk about various aspects of criminal justice reform in Kentucky—or, more accurately, the lack of it. LC has spent decades inside the system, and his résumé is both long and remarkable:

·       six-time prison warden,

·       former head of the Kentucky Parole Board,

·       current head of the Louisville Juvenile Justice Center,

·       the warden who allowed Shakespeare Behind Bars to begin at one of his prisons,

·       and many other criminal justice roles.

Coffee never lasts long enough to hear everything LC is doing now—or even just some of what he has done over the past several decades.
