GAYE HOLMAN to be added to CAMP KADESH, INC. ADVISORY COUNCIL

The CK Board previously established the Camp Kadesh, Inc. Advisory Council as a non-voting, non-fiduciary body to provide informal guidance and expertise to the Board and Executive Director.

Gaye D. Holman:

·      a retired sociology professor who coordinated Jefferson Community and Technical College’s degree program across Louisville-area correctional facilities from 1988 to 2008,

·      the author of “Decades Behind Bars: A 20-Year Conversation with Men in America’s Prisons”,

·      remains active in Louisville and Lexington reentry efforts,

·      brings decades of direct, credible expertise in education and reentry within the Kentucky corrections system.

I have come full circle with Gaye. She was my first Criminal Justice Reform professor, at Veritas. She became my first Criminal Justice Mentor. Gaye has become a strong advisor to my nonprofit REimagine Justice Inc. and this website. She is a highly valued friend that has helped edited my social justice posts and keep me on track since 2019. She has introduced me to countless contacts such as Darryll Davis and so many others! Many inmates in prison (and those who have gotten out) consider her angel.
