Sharing personal stories is a powerful part of the movement for criminal justice reform. Donna Fehrmann, the inspiring leader of AppCounsel.org, has an incredible journey of her own. Growing up with five sisters and no brothers, Donna joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, where she was matched with a "little brother." Years later, that same young man was wrongfully imprisoned. Donna became a driving force in the fight to prove his innocence and secure his exoneration.

Her unwavering commitment to helping those who cannot afford to defend themselves is truly admirable and contagious.
