Shakespeare Behind Bars- April

We were incredibly fortunate to attend the Shakespeare Behind Bars (SBB) production of The Tempest at Luther Luckett prison last night. Before the performance, we had the opportunity to connect with fellow activists and exchange meaningful ideas. Three of the men I correspond with participated in the production, and I've included their photos. One of the men, Hal Cobb is the founding member of SBB in the prison (trapped by our pathetic parole board). If any of the men I know in the production were released tonight, I believe our state would be safer and more compassionate. SBB is recognized as one of the most effective prison programs in the country, sustained entirely by generous donations, which we proudly contribute to each year.
